I supervise almost 15 under-graduate and post-graduate students and conduct multiple research projects in the domain of 5G radio access networks with applications of Artificial Intelligence towards network performance enhancement. Most of the simulations and AI algorithms are computationally intensive and require resources and time to execute. The ICT Cloud services at NUST has enabled us to meet this requirement by providing virtual servers through which our research group can perform multiple simultaneous simulations on both Windows and Linux based virtual servers. During the COVID pandemic, the students accessed the VMs remotely and carried on with their work without any disruptions, thanks to the quick response and resolutions from the ICT Cloud team in case of any technical issues.
